How does booking a darts board work?

You book the board, not a seat at it. One board for an hour or two, and everyone in the group throws in turn. Venues come in two kinds. Steel-tip boards are the traditional bristle ones, and the scoring is left to you or to a chalkboard on the wall. Electronic soft-tip machines do the counting themselves and have the game formats built in.
