A golf simulator is an indoor bay where you hit real balls into a screen while a launch monitor measures the shot. That makes it a different booking from a driving range, which sells outdoor bays or buckets of balls, and from a course, which sells tee times. Simulator bays are booked by the hour and shared by everyone playing, so a group pays for the bay rather than per player — and because the bay is indoors and heated, the season never ends.
