Book a tennis court near you

How does booking a tennis court work?

Tennis venues differ in two ways that matter before you book: whether the court is in a year-round indoor hall, outdoors, or under a seasonal air dome, and what it is surfaced with. Hard, clay and carpet all reward a different game, and Nordic indoor halls are frequently carpet or hard. Court time is priced per court rather than per player, so singles and doubles cost the same. Browse the tennis venues below to compare surfaces, opening hours and free slots.

• Indoor halls run through the whole year, while outdoor courts and the air domes raised over them in winter follow the season, so availability shifts noticeably between summer and winter.
• Surface changes the rally: hard courts are fast and bounce predictably, clay is slower with a higher bounce and longer points, and carpet is common in indoor halls.
• A court is booked as a whole, so the price is the same for singles as for doubles.
• Clubs usually sell recurring weekly slots and season memberships next to single bookings, which is worth comparing if you play every week.
• Many venues list coaching and junior groups on the same page as court time, so lessons can be booked in one place.
